I'm working on this gender neutral baby quilt for a colleague. The baby shower is on the 17th of February, so its a good thing I'm done making the blocks. Now I'm just trying to decide on a layout.
What do you think? The top one, or the bottom one?
Oh, I'm going to be the odd one out and say the second one- mainly because I like the balance of the yellows in that one! Whichever you decide, it will be a pretty quilt!
I'm a minority here, but I like the bottome one. The corner/diaganol set of the yellow blocks looks assymetrical and somehow makes the quilt look bigger than the yellow being lined up in the middle of the quilt, like the top one.
Hmm, I actually think that you should put the dark green in the center. Then I think I'd vote for the top one if you switched the center and the green.
Thanks for visiting my blog! If you feel like it, please leave a comment. I really enjoy reading them and try to respond to each and every one. If you don't get a reply by email, you are probably a no-reply blogger.
I love the top one. They are really pretty blocks!
ReplyDeleteLove the top one too!! Gorgeous blocks!
ReplyDeleteYep, top one for me too. The fabrics are lovely and perfect for a baby quilt!
ReplyDeleteTop one!:-)

ReplyDeleteThe top one...it seems top heavy with the darker fabrics in the second one.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I like the bottom one, maybe I like the balance better.

ReplyDeleteI'm with Amanda. The green in the middle, blueish tones in the corners and yellows in the middle of each side.
ReplyDeletetop one? but, yeah, dark green in the middle would balance it out.
ReplyDeletewow - those are amazing! I prefer the top one, but they are both beautiful.
